The Festival Swinging Montpellier comes back July 19, 20 and 21 on the Peyrou promenade for a fifth edition. On the program, competitions, open-air evenings, masterclasses and more await dance enthusiasts.

It’s going to swing in Montpellier next July during the Festival Swinging Montpellier. Jazz swing enthusiasts from all over the world will gather on the Esplanade du Peyrou for these three days of festivities, whether they are amateurs, experienced or simply curious, the event is open to all.

Many new features

For this 2024 edition, the Festival Swinging Montpellier returns with its share of new features. To start, two competitions are scheduled for July 19 and 21, the first Count Basie Contest and the second Jazz vs Street Dances. An opportunity for participants to challenge themselves in front of a jury made up of professionals. Additionally, a exclusive show will take place on July 20on the Promenade du Peyrou, with the dancers of Line Up 2024. For partygoers, three open-air evenings are also on the program for this fifth edition, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., every evening, accessible free of charge upon reservation. And finally, to extend afterparties at JOST are scheduled from 11 p.m.
