An educator, Carole is also passionate about cooking. »I have known Ethan since he was born and our families are very close, she emphasizes. We love to create and make cakes whenever an occasion arises, such as birthdays. It was Ethan who had the idea to enter the competition. We did several tests, tested several recipes and chose to make a macaroon in the shape of a fleur-de-lis, garnished with strawberries and of diplomat cream. The strawberries, the base of our cake, come from Brinville gardens in Saint-Sauveur-sur-Ecole, and largely contributed to the taste of our macaron. “.

A class with a pastry chef

The winning duo therefore wins a baking class hosted by Alexandre Trouvé, pastry chef of the Axel restaurant in Fontainebleau, starred in the Michelin guide.

»It’s a dream that Ethan will finally come true!, rejoices Carole. I am very proud of him! He was able to gain confidence in himself and surpass himself to achieve the goal he had set for himself.”
