This time we are there! After weeks, even months of waiting on the fate of
Girondins de Bordeaux in front, there
DNCG, it is this Thursday, June 27 that we will know the fate that will be reserved for our club. A fate which could be permanent or suspended depending on what is decided by the financial policeman of French football.

On the side of the Bordeaux leaders there is complete or almost radio silence. Very little information has circulated recently. The president and shareholder
Gerard Lopez did not communicate, neither did his communications company. Only certain media have outlined a potential arrival of an investor to accompany the Spanish-Luxembourg businessman. From what we learned in the press, Bordeaux must fill a deficit of between 40 and 50 million euros and ensure the smooth running of the 2024/2025 season, by presenting its budget to the DNCG. The organization can make several decisions at the end of this passage. There may be no measures taken, a control of the payroll, or even transfer compensation, a stay of decision pending additional elements requested from the club by the
DNCGan administrative demotion…

If an investor has been found, the club may therefore have to provide information for the file. It is perhaps with this in mind that the first interview planned before the DNCG was postponed until June 27. To make matters worse, the TV rights have still not been acquired for the Ligue 1, which represents a threat to all professional football. Even if the Ligue 2
found a buyer thanks to BeInSportswhich has taken 100% of the championship, the second division clubs are also waiting for the upper echelon.

But the DNCG has so far been lenient towards professional clubs. As of June 19, the date of the last decisions taken, only the FC
Nantes
saw a control of the payroll and in Ligue 2 it is the FC Annecy which sees its payroll regulated, as well as its transfer allowances. It has passed for most of the other clubs, even if some are on reprieve like Troyes, Le Havre, Valenciennes et
Nancy.

The clubs of Lyon, Caen, Ajaccio, Saint-Etienne, Grenoble et Rodez
also remain to be passed.

All you have to do is wait, again and again…
