Two Haut-Marne clubs will go to the 3rd round of the French Cups

The various French cups, whether regional or departmental, were fatal to many Haut-Marnais last weekend, for the 2nd round. Only Chevillon, in the regional, and Joinville, in the departmental, will go to the 3rd round.

The regional and departmental versions of the French Cup have, so to speak, cleaned up the ranks of Haut-. There will only be a few teams left to defend the department's chances in the 3rd round.

It passes for two Haut-Marne clubs

Promoted to the Prenational this season, SLIC Chevillon did not tremble against the Epernay reserve, to reach the next round.

Jean-Christophe Renard's men managed to dispose of the Sparnaciens, in the Marne (26-34), with the fighting spirit that they are known for.

The Chevillonnais are often very successful in this competition and can hope to have another good run in the regional French Cup. And possibly improve the mark of the senior men of , who arrived at the gates of the 8th finals, in the department, last season.

On the side of the departmental “Dame Coupe”, the Joinvillois were absolutely uncompromising, also on the move. Their victim in this second round was the Connantre club, in Marne, which had to suffer a very heavy setback (19-40).

With these two victories, Haute-Marne will go to the 3rd round on both versions of the cup. Knowing that this 2nd round was fatal to others, both regionally and departmentally.

It breaks for five teams

After losing their men in the first round, the senior women, in the regional French Cup, did not succeed in their trip to Saint-Vit, in , also resident of Prénationale. Nicolas Torres' players suffered a relatively short defeat (27-22).

Langres, in the regional, lost its two senior teams in this 2nd round: the men, entered in Honor, were beaten, at home, by Bassin Mussipontain (31-35). The frustration is even greater for the ladies, since their Prénationale rivals, Bête des Vosges, beat them by a very short head (21-22). Infuriating.

In the department, there was no miracle, far from it, for the men of Nogent/Val de Meuse: their visitors of the day, Remiremont, simply crushed them (24-51).

Finally, still in the departmental French Cup, the Chalindrey men, at home, were eliminated in turn, being deprived of the 3rd round by Rosièes Saint-Julien. The Aubois made the break at the start of the match (3-6), but a goal from Damien Taillard and a double from Aurélien Lhuillier revived Chalindrey (7-7). Not for long. The visitors resume their march forward (7-11). At the break, two goals separate the two teams (11-13).

At the restart, Corentin Cardoso reduced the gap (12-13), but once again, Rosières/Saint-Julien made up the gap (14-17). At 45′, Aurélien Lhuillier equalized (20-20). The locals crack again (21-24) and this time do not come back (23-28).
