Marine Viala, 29, is today the official photographer of the Miss Tarn collective, a position she reached thanks to a journey rich in experience and determination. After studying photography at the CE3P school in Ivry-sur-Seine from 2015 to 2016, she decided to return to Castres to be closer to her family and develop her career in her hometown. “The experience in Paris was incredible, but it’s a very big city. I wanted to reunite with my loved ones,” she explains.

Returning to Castres in 2016, Marine launched into photography while continuing to work with children. “At the beginning, having a dual activity allowed me to develop photography little by little while having a fixed salary.” His determination and skills allowed him to start his business in 2017 and live solely from his passion.

“My role is to give them confidence, highlight their strengths”

Then Marine began to make herself known in the world of Miss after working with Miss Pays du Pastel 2019 and more particularly with the official photos of Hannah Friconnet, Miss Tarn and Miss Midi-Pyrénées 2021. “It made me feel great visibility,” she recalls.

Today, the Castres native captures the precious moments of the Misses, from castings to coronations, while immortalizing their adventure to create a unique photo legacy for them. The photographer also captures the moments of the castings, where some candidates had never taken photos before. “These are girls who are also discovering the universe, they are not necessarily comfortable with their image. My role is to give them confidence, to highlight their assets.” If Marine specializes in weddings and portraits of couples, she is also open to other projects such as pregnancy photoshoots. “I work in Castres and the surrounding area. If necessary, I travel elsewhere, I have no geographical limits. I have been to Aveyron or even the Mediterranean coast,” she explains.

“The misses are a bonus with glitter”

For the young photographer, each photo shoot is an opportunity to create lasting memories and build close bonds with her clients. “What I like is the proximity. I am really in contact with people even though I was originally a shy person. I have clients who have become very good friends over time .” She particularly highlights the connection between the couples she photographs, the essence of their relationship. “Taking a photo of the connection they have with each other, beyond the photos, is a special moment of sharing.”

Marine Viala remains accessible via Instagram and her website, where she continues to share her talent with the local community. “Individuals are my main target. Misses are a bonus with glitter.”
