Frédéric is not the Ravi of the nursery. Still not. But he's a happy boy. This tall young boy, all calibrated with a trebuchet, has just received a heavy prison sentence. And for a little, he would applaud his judges. He thanks them warmly. Frédéric repeats it in every tone, he has a vital need for this ostracism from society. “Because I have a lot of problems to sort out. But I am relieved to be in front of you,” he insists. He wants to think, rebuild himself and emerge from this impasse as a new man, freed from his demons. His redemption, he thinks, is at this price. A necessary parenthesis to digest his last decade without tail or head. Afterwards, I swear, we will never see him in court again.

At only 26 years old, Frédéric, as fiery as running water, is already an old veteran of the correctional system. But this time he crossed the line. Nine offenses committed in no time, on the same day between Talange and . It begins with a refusal to comply, then like a curse, everything comes together. He flees the police with the energy of despair carried by this crazy idea that he could escape from them by a stroke of luck. “In fact, I made the decision to run away because I have lots of problems with the law. My criminal record is quite extensive,” he admits. Bad move, he is well and truly arrested. And he has a lot of worries.

“I’m a little idiot who likes to show off with a gun”

“Do you have time to listen to me a little? », asks Frédéric to the president of the court Mr. Céribac. This gives a timid green light. Then, with the calm of an apostle, the defendant retraces his endless troubles. To make a long story short, since the age of 18, the adult with the pleasant face under his Gainsbarre beard has been lining up stupid things like stringing pearls. One of them really bothers him. In a lively tone, without any whining, he recounts how he found himself in the middle of a brawl that left someone dead. As a result, he is under judicial supervision and must soon appear in court, but maintains that he has nothing to do with this drama. Fatality… “With this story, I lost 15 kilos,” he confides.

What relationship with the facts, asks the court which senses the inevitable digressions coming. “I still have to explain it to you, because there are ins and outs,” Frédéric tries. Cropped, here he is facing his new turpitudes worthy of an urban rodeo. First, motorized, he refuses to stop, defying the police who are not fooled and will end up controlling him. In the meantime, his incredible escape leads him to drive on sidewalks, green spaces, run through stop signs and traffic lights, and the icing on the cake, he takes a highway ramp in the wrong direction between Mondelange and Metz. Miracle, there are no victims. He travels on a small two-wheeler which requires an A1 license. He doesn't have it. “I thought it was like a scooter,” he explains. He has no insurance, no gloves obviously. He had smoked cannabis. “I take responsibility for everything,” he said.

It's already a lot, but it's not over. Frédéric has a Colt 44 with him which leaves everyone perplexed. “It was for my protection, I was afraid that someone would come and shoot me because of the previous affair. But I wanted to sell it to fill the fridge. » His judges expect more. One of his acquaintances involved in the case in question took nine bullets to the body when he was released from prison. They are still not convinced. “There are lots of photos of weapons on your ,” remarks the president. “Well yes, I’m a little idiot who likes to show off with a weapon,” says Frédéric. He even had a knife on him when he was arrested. “Once again I assume, I'm not trying to avoid it. I know everything is against me. I have to pay, but I want to leave as a free man,” insists Frédéric. Because he is convinced, this life full of noise, agitation, fury, is well and truly over. His recent fatherhood would have acted as an electric shock, and would have opened his eyes. “I have decided to be happy, it is better for my health,” wrote Voltaire. Frédéric would like to learn from it and make a clean sweep of the past.

In the meantime, he receives 30 months in prison.
