The Tarbes basketball players will play well next season in the elite, in the Women’s League. The maintenance has been confirmed this Wednesday. The appeals chamber of the French Basketball Federation annulled the relegation decided by the management control commission. Good news for the club after a very good season where the TGB players reached the semi-final of the French championship.
A story of timing
Coach François Gomez reacted after this announcement. The Tarbes coach assures that he was not that worried but that this news is good despite everything: “It’s a real relief even if we were confident about the file we had put together. In fact we knew that we had a timing problem for reasons internal to the club. Obviously, we must accept our responsibilities, the file was not ready and we filed a file to appeal a decision which was fair but which we knew we could resolve in the ten days which separated the management control commission and the appeals chamber.”
“All we have to do is finalize the team because we had the honesty to wait a little before signing contracts in relation to a federal decision that we had to respect.adds François Gomez. On will announce the team when the contracts are signed and we will resume the season in mid-August and then we will find our fans and our supporters at the start of the next school year for a French championship and for a Euro Cup.”
