During the summer period, many attractive events will be offered in the Lyon region..

In addition to the classic Nuits de Fourvière, Jazz à Vienne, Tout l’monde exterior or Woodstower, other festivals are held in the Lyon metropolitan area.

The closing of the National School Film Festival, organized since 2021 in Lyon by the Court Facile association, will take place at the Théâtre des Célestins on June 30. A unique opportunity to watch short films made by students from elementary to secondary school.

The festivals Korean Touch is back in Villeurbanne for a weekend. On July 6 and 7, kpop, dance, music and stalls galore will satisfy all fans of the Land of the Fresh Morning.

New festivals in town

This summer of 2024 is synonymous with novelty. From July 4 to 7, Blandan Park will host the first edition of the Soïo World Festival. Organized by the CMTRA, the free event focuses on traditional music from here and elsewhere. Another innovation: the festival Yggdrasil Starquest. Whether you are a fan of Star Wars, Doctor Who or simply curious, (re)discover science fiction at Fort de Bron during the weekend of July 6 and 7.

Other events, outside of festivals, should be noted in your diary. The Grand Hôtel Dieu welcomes you for a dayGiant open air Saturday July 13 from 3:30 p.m. Treat yourself around a grill stand while listening to mixes from Lyon DJs. Musical shows will be given at the edge of the pond Bird Park from August 30 to September 15, as part of its Musicales. Patrick Fiori, Pascal Obispo or Chimen Badi will perform.

To find a little freshness, watch original works with subtitles in the open air from July 15 to 18 place d’Ainay, in the second arrondissement. Like every year, don’t miss the July 14 fireworks taken from Fourvière hill. There Cinema Festival is the unmissable event of the summer.
