ZFE: Crit'Air 3 vehicles banned in and the inner suburbs from January 2025

It is confirmed, from January 1, 2025, vehicles classified Crit'Air 3 will no longer be able to circulate in and the inner suburbs (i.e. in 79 municipalities) due to the establishment of the Low Emission Zone (ZFE) of Greater Paris;

After the implementation of the Limited Traffic Zone in the heart of the capital and the passage of the ring road at 50 km/h, news restrictions de circulation aimed at reducing pollution come into force in the Paris region. From the January 1, 2025it's the turn of Crit'Air 3 vehicles to be banned in Paris as well as a small crown. From then on, they will no longer be able to travel there during the week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (excluding weekends and public holidays) within the perimeter delimited by the A86.

This measure comes into place as part of the establishment of a Low Emission Zone (ZFE) which extends into the Greater Paris. So, 79 communes are affected by these new traffic restrictions. As a reminder, the Crit'Air 3 sticker concerns diesel cars over 14 years old as well as petrol cars over 19 years old.

And Pass 24h should nevertheless be put in place to allow vehicles affected by this ban to access the capital a few times for a maximum of 12 days per year. It is also specified that automated controls and sanctions should only be activated from 2026.
