« It’s an ambitious project” that the mayor of Gap wants to bring to the Gap-Bayard site in the coming years. Located at an altitude of 1,246 meters, it welcomes golfers in the summer and those practicing Nordic activities in the winter. Faced in particular with the lack of snow in recent years, Roger Didier wishes to make this space more “ versatile and sportier ». The ambition is to “transform this Bayard site with a requalification of the oxygenation center” and a move upmarket:

The Maison de Pays should open its doors for the 2025 summer season. 1.5 million euros are put on the table with subsidies of 44% from the State, the Region and the Department.
A roundabout on the RN 85 at Gap-Bayard?
The Mayor of Gap and President of the Gap Agglomeration Tallard Durance asks the State to create a roundabout on the RN 85 “ to slow down the speed of vehicles » but also to allow better accessibility to the Gap-Bayard plateau.
The councilor who also plans an underground crossing of the national 85 for pedestrians and athletes“to connect the Bayard spaces and the Gleize spaces”. A project that is still current but which “ must be postponed » in a second phase.
