The Tour de France will be done without Florian Sénéchal, the rider from Cambrai. The latter contracted Covid.
The northern cyclist will not ride with the Arkéa B&B Hotels team. While the Tour de France begins this Saturday June 29, 2024 and runs until July 21, Florian Sénéchal explains in an Instagram post that he “contracted Covid at the Critérium du Dauphiné”. He therefore renounces participating in the race.
“I didn’t feel good about the French Championship”, he writes. However, he wants to be reassuring: “I recently took a whole battery of exams which turned out to be good.“Despite everything, he made the choice to”not to compete in the Tour this year”.
“I am now focused on the end of the season to give everything, and above all I am fully behind the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team which will compete in the Tour de France”, specifies the runner.
On February 24, 2024, fate had already taken its toll on him: he had suffered a serious fall and had been unavailable for several weeks.
