A romantic weekend that ends in court. While enjoying a short stay in an idyllic cabin in Joncherey (Territoire de Belfort), a couple was visited by a voyeur on Friday evening, June 21, 2024. The man filmed the two victims while they were in the middle of lovemaking in the jacuzzi, reports The Republican East .
The suspect, a 61-year-old German, was tried on Tuesday June 25, 2024 before the Belfort court. On the evening of the events, it was the woman who saw him spying on their antics, hidden behind a tree, the “ankle pants” according to his testimony. The man of the couple chased the voyeur and hit him before the sixty-year-old was arrested.
He apologizes
Tried for sexual exhibition, home invasion and invasion of privacy, the man admitted that he frequently came to the region to indulge in this voyeurism. Investigators found images of the victim couple on his phone, but also of another couple who had stayed in the same cabin in April, reports France Blue Belfort-Montbéliard .
In court, the defendant, a neurosurgeon by profession, apologized and assured “to be ashamed of one’s practices”. Aware of being ill, he now wants to get treatment. With a clean criminal record in both France and Germany, the sixty-year-old was sentenced to a one-year suspended prison sentence. He will also have to pay €15,000 to the Public Treasury and will not be able to travel to the Territoire de Belfort for three years.
