The president of Lomagne Gersoise, Xavier Ballenghien, and the vice-president of Agriculture, Dominique Gonella, had the pleasure of welcoming Olivier Trébosc, president of SAS Alliance Abattoir Auch, to the Rural Innovation Laboratory on Tuesday June 18 Gers, to sign not one but two aid agreements for business real estate. In a particularly disrupted context recently with the closure of sites which endanger local slaughtering capacities, particularly in POC (Pig-Sheep-Goat), and therefore, by repercussion, the sustainability of local breeding, the question of maintaining and of the diversification of a Gers slaughter site has mobilized local players in the sector and institutions for almost 2 years. After having succeeded in the fight to reconquer cattle tonnage following the departure from Arcadia, SAS Alliance Abattoir Auch Gers has committed to diversifying its activity by proposing on the one hand the creation of a POC slaughtering line in Auch, and on the other hand the creation of a workshop for the production of animal treats, called pet food, in Fleurance. Lomagne Gersoise quickly positioned itself to support these initiatives, of course for this site, at the former Boucherie des Abattoirs in the activity zone, where €400,000 was invested, but also in Auch as part of legitimate solidarity territorial initiative initiated by the Prefect of Gers and the President of the Chamber of Agriculture (where €1.7 million is planned with commissioning planned for the end of October). In the presence of Ronny Guardia Mazzoleni, mayor, the president of Lomagne Gersoise Xavier Ballenghien was therefore pleased to be able to sign these 2 agreements this Tuesday with Olivier Trébosc, president of the SAS, accompanied by his teams (Fabrice Rancon , director, and Orianne Mouton, project manager), and concretize the support of the community of municipalities for this sector which is so important in the Gers.
