This Monday, November 11, the commune of Cabanac-Cazaux celebrated the commemoration of November 11, 1918 and the centenary of the creation and installation of the commune's war memorial in 1924.Mayor Gilles Favarel recalled the installation of a first commemorative plaque in the church in 1920, then the inauguration of a new white marble war memorial in June 1924 after a sustained request from the population of this era. The town expressed its gratitude to its nine children who died under the flag in 1914 or as a result of this great war, whether from wounds or tuberculosis. More than thirty people were present, or a quarter of the 129 inhabitants recorded in the village.
