Secours Catholique unveiled its “state of poverty in 2024” at the end of the week. At the national level as in the Ardennes, the emphasis is placed on the digital divide. More and more dematerialized administrative procedures are being done online. Many people miss out on RSA or APL due to lack of internet skills.

According to Secours Catholique, the gap is widening, “precariousness is setting in” with people becoming more and more isolated.

In 2023, 15% of people who approached Secours Catholique Marne Ardennes requested help with administrative procedures. That’s 5 points more than a 2022.

For several years, an approach has been implemented with Emmaus Connect for digital workshops which aim to learn how to use IT tools.
