Less cheerful than a blind test and less festive than a concert, the third place La Mine au Tri could still surprise you with its “deadly coffee” on Friday November 22, 2024, in Corcoué sur Logne.
“Life, death, mourning, we won’t die talking about it,” assures the team of volunteers, who crossed paths with Jezabel Coguyec during an improvisation show.
This actress spoke to them about this concept of “deadly coffee” born in Switzerland. The principle is to meet in a friendly place to share a drink and talk about death…
No one is spared and it is a subject that is not discussed too much in the public sphere. It's a way of desecrating it by speaking openly about one's own experiences facing the deaths of loved ones, illness, and one's fears.
The associative café, The mine barwill therefore take on a slightly more cozy appearance for the occasion. A warm setting where the question will be asked: what ceremonies for tomorrow?
The citizen customers of the day will be able to exchange ideas with each other and Jezabel Coguyec will host this evening to think differently about funerals. How can we reclaim this moment, as citizens? Is it possible to organize a ceremony that really suits us? So many questions on which this “philosophy café” will allow us to reflect.
How to say goodbye?
The artist Jezabel Coguyec is particularly aware of this theme since she is also a celebrant, a new profession in France dedicated to the organization of various ceremonies (baptism, marriage, funerals). In Mayenne, she is also co-founder of the Nos Funérailles collective, “with the ambition of reinventing a poetic and effective “good death”, when a loved one leaves us”.
La Mine au tri wants to give the population the opportunity to discuss ways of saying goodbye to our deceased and to open up the field of possibilities to consider goodbyes in their own way.
“It is neither a conference nor a discussion group, but rather a discussion between citizens to enlighten us and perhaps make us more involved in this passage of life”, remind the organizers of this “deadly café”.
Friday November 22, at 7 p.m., La Mine au sorte, 13 rue du Huit mai, Corcoué sur Logne. Free participation.
