HRH Princess Lalla Meryem was subsequently able to follow the screening of institutional films retracing 25 years of existence and action of the Children’s Parliament. Documentaries presenting testimonies and journeys of former young parliamentarians. Films which show the dynamics of the Club of Former Children-Parliamentarians with the aim of strengthening the values of citizenship and solidarity. Her royal highness was also able to follow a video retracing the highlights of the Bootcamp on entrepreneurship, an initiative launched by the National Observatory for Children’s Rights. This project aims to train 395 child parliamentarians in entrepreneurial approaches.
The princess subsequently presented the “Voix d’Avenir”, “Citizen Heart” and “Young Change Makers” prizes to the children with the three best projects distinguished during the Bootcamp. Two other favorite prizes, “Voice of Liberty” and “Shine Without Limits,” were also awarded to two child parliamentarians whose projects stood out for their originality during this training. HRH Lalla Meryem then chaired the signing ceremony of three bilateral conventions. The first, signed by the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri and the vice-president of ONDE, Ghizlane Benjelloun, relating to support for parliamentary children in their professional projects.
The second, signed by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid and Benjelloun, and relating to the strengthening of cooperation and coordination to support the activities of the Children’s Parliament. A third agreement was signed by Mohamed Methqal, ambassador, director general of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) and the vice-president of ONDE, to seal cooperation in terms of means and skills for the benefit of projects with an African vocation in the field of the Observatory’s activities and the scope of intervention of the AMCI.
