The La Rochelle bomb squad inspected Sandra Marsaud's office and found nothing. The security system was therefore lifted.

Large mobilization of gendarmes in Jarnac this Friday morning after a bomb threat. At 9 a.m., Sandra Marsaud's parliamentary collaborator, Kerrian Realland, discovered an anonymous letter in the mailbox of the majority MP's office, located at 12 rue de l'Aumonerie, in Jarnac.
The exact contents have not been revealed but it mentions threats, which even if they do not include the word “bomb”, were considered serious enough for the sector to be cordoned off. The police set up a security perimeter of 200 meters. They went to knock on all the houses concerned, which were empty.
The MP is not there, she is currently participating in the World Urban Forum in Egypt.
The Jean-Lartaut college is adjacent to the office. The students in the buildings closest to the latter were initially isolated in the furthest rooms, before the decision to completely evacuate the establishment was taken.
Around 11 a.m., all the young people went out and reached the stadium parking lot, where parents were asked to come and collect them. However, one question arises: that of lunch. Not all parents were able to travel and the canteen is inaccessible. The management is therefore planning to repatriate the middle school students to the village hall where a meal will be served to them.
“We received an email, then an SMS, telling us to come and pick up our children, without further explanation. As this has never happened, we were a little afraid,” says Elodie Gutierrez, a mother of students, who came to pick up her daughter Maëlle, in 5th grade, “a little stressed”. Visual arts teacher, Sébastien Carpentier confirms that a “gust of stress” took hold of certain students, “who asked a lot of questions”.
The La Rochelle deminers are on their way to come and examine the parliamentary office. The area is still cordoned off and the houses concerned are therefore currently inaccessible.
