Monday June 24, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., at the Maison des associations, Espace Jean Zay, 4 rue Jules Ferry in Chalon-sur-Saône, the first preparation meeting for the 11th edition of the race took place ‘La Chalonnaise’ in the company of partners and participants in the running of the race.
An event which took place in the presence of Christophe Thibert, Co-president of Chalonnaise, Sylvie Salagnac, Treasurer of the Chalonnaise Association, Celine ThibanSecretary of the association, Pascal Bourbon, Member of the Chalonnaise Committee, Vivien Saunie, in charge of communication for the association, Doctor Lucien Charret from the Burgundy Cancer Institute, Babette Parizot of Grand Chalon Athletics, of Setti Messoussa, Professor at Emiland Gauthey…
In front of an assembly of about fifteen people, the session began with the reading of the word addressed to Gilles Platret par Christophe Magnien who informed him that he remained co-president of the Chalonnaise but that he wanted to take a step back this year.
It is therefore Christophe Thibert who chaired the meeting and who informed those present on several points:
–The start of the race this year will take place on September 29 at 10 a.m. and as usual the Chalonnaise village will be set up and accessible from Saturday September 28.
– 4000 tee-shirts roses supporting the logos (in black) at a price of 10 euros will be available from Friday September 27 and at the various points of sale (markets, Chalon fair, etc.)
– This year the Exhibition Center is not available, the provisioning preparations of the event partner, the establishment Leclerc de Lux will be under a great Barnum.
-All walking participants will be given un bracelet rose.
– A permanent presence on the markets between members and high school students of Emiland Gauthey will begin September 11 until September 27.
– The program for Sunday before the race is planned as follows: 9 h speeches from the authorities 9 H 50 Warm-up by the specialist sports instructor Babette Parizot 10 h Start of the race (Attention: start of the youth race along the Saône)
– Music will also be present to accompany the walkers: Unidos, The Harmony of the Valiant…
– The start of registrations will take place at the beginning of July by accessing the site lachalonnaise.fr or on facebook.com/lachalonnaise71
-This year again 24 partners will be present : Relax Zen, Plume de soi, Lydie Philippon, MACIF, Espace Santé, the League against Cancer Chalon-sur-Saône, Always Woman, Corasaône, Elles Aident, Ancosup, Sport 2000, La Mie Caline, Le Grand Chalon, La city of Chalon, WHO, Le Groupe Chanzy, Neyrat, Renault Groupe Thivolle, Aubade, Zoom…
-For the smooth running of the event, the La Chalonnaise Association needs approximately 40 volunteers, do not hesitate to volunteer by contacting the site
-Some figures were given concerning the 2023 Chalonnaise: 4,800 walkers (including children), we are waiting for it 6 000 This year.
