The Aston Villa player found the target with a masterpiece of a direct free kick that landed directly in the top corner of Vicario, the starting goalkeeper in the absence of Gianluigi Donnarumma (ill). The goal was finally attributed to the unfortunate Italian goalkeeper, the ball having bounced off the uprights and then onto the back of the Tottenham goalkeeper.
While the spectators were stunned, Andrea Cambiaso woke everyone up by reducing the gap immediately after Jules Koundé lost the ball, then a nice combination between Tonali and Dimarco. Before kick-off, both teams had already validated their ticket to the quarter-finals of the Nations League.
