day for members of Familles Rurales

Associations. Wednesday, November 13, nearly 200 people gathered at the Foyer culturelle de Longeau for the day prepared by Familles Rurales de Haute- and Familles Rurales de Longeau.

Pascale Laty, director of Familles Rurales 52 welcomed Cyril Delarue, director of the Departmental Union of Family Associations of Haute-Marne (UDAF) to which Familles Rurales is a member, and which will celebrate its 80th anniversary on November 18, 2025. The Udafs were created following the order of General De Gaulle of March 2, 1945. After the Second World War, the General saw the family as a pillar in the construction of the Nation.

Pascale Laty, employee of Familles Rurales de Haute-Marne, specified that members showed great interest in the stays, three of which were organized in 2024: in , Haute-Savoie and Corsica. Each participant received today a booklet containing photos, descriptions and anecdotes of the stays. She plans to organize another stay in Corsica in 2026.

Gisèle Lepitre, departmental president, spoke, recalling that there are twelve rural families associations spread across the Haute-Marne department. Each is autonomous in terms of its activities. There are digital advisors and a digital coordinator throughout the sector. Rural Families also works with different partners. The consumer defense service provides support, if necessary, throughout the files and procedures to be carried out, whatever the consumer problem.

She then invited the members to have a friendly drink before sitting down to taste the cassoulet prepared by a local caterer. At dessert time, Annie, from the Board of Directors of Rural Families of Longeau, received a pretty bouquet of flowers for her birthday.
