A man killed by police in Val-de- after “threatening” officers with a handgun

The police were called about a man with a handgun who “knocked violently” on the door of a home in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges. The IGPN has been contacted.

A man “armed with a gun” and who has “threat” police officers was killed by one of them in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val-de-), Télévisions learned from a police source, Sunday November 17.

Around 6 a.m., police were called to reports of a man who “hit violently” at the caller's door, according to the same source. The man quickly threatened the three police officers on site by pointing his gun at them. One of the agents then shot the man, who died of his wounds, according to information from France Télévisions. The IGPN has been contacted.
