A man arrived in Lagos, Nigeria, more than three hours late on his way to his brother's funeral. He is now demanding $600,000 from Air France, which operated the route from Paris. The trial opened this week in New York.

A lawsuit against Air France. On September 20, a passenger who was traveling from New York to at his brother's funeralin Lagos, Nigeria, attacked the French company for “financial and emotional strain”reports BFMTV. Indeed, during his stopover in Paris, he noticed that his next flight was delayed several hours. He therefore had to cross Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport several times to reach the Delta Airlines and Air France terminals.
During the trial being held this week on Staten Island, New York, the 66-year-old man said he was suffering heart problems and that these back and forths had been painful. Questioned by the New York Posthe said he went around in circles because of the company which even lost his luggage “for three weeks”. “They gave up very quickly. It’s awful”he confided.

The passenger was finally able to take a new flight with Delta, in order to save time and arrive at his brother's funeral at all costs. He arrived in Lagos at 1 a.m., although his ticket called for a 9:40 p.m. landing. He was therefore forced to book a hotel and is now asking Air France 600 000 dollars compensation for this incredible trip.
