Three roundabouts in Côtes-d'Armor should be taken over by angry farmers, Monday November 18, 2024. In response to “the government's ignorance and inaction”, as the farmers assure in their press release, they will go to three roundabouts at Dinan, Lamballe and Guingamp where the mobilization already began on Friday November 15.
Make anger heard
“Several actions will be organized in the department to make our anger heard,” add the Departmental Federation of Côtes-d’Armor Farmers’ Unions and the Young Farmers associated with this movement.
Three roundabouts in the department will therefore be occupied by farmers: that of Aublette in Dinan (Caulnes-Plancoët road); that of Kernilien in Guingamp and that of the Déhanne area in Lamballe (road N12-Pléneuf-Val-André).
Almost a year after the strong mobilizations
It's been almost a year, in January 2024, the farmers' protests had taken an unprecedented scale in France and in the department with numerous “seices” on the four roads and significant damage.
Farmers then mobilized for several “emergencies”: increased charges, stifling administrative constraints, agro-environmental measures or even the announced removal of tax reduction on GNR (non-road diesel).
Today, the main demand concerns the denunciation of the Mercosur free trade treaty, between the European Union and five Latin American countries.
The Young Farmers of the department are also inviting people to sign an online petition against this treaty.
