The volunteers are ready. A few more hours and the 2024 edition of the Poupet Festival will be launched, a few kilometers from the Deux-Sèvres border.

The organizers promise a memorable edition with 15 dates from June 26 to July 19, 2024, including 13 at the Théâtre de Verdure, famous for its intimate atmosphere. For its opening, the event will go off the beaten track by offering a comedy and magic show with Éric Antoine.

Pascal Obispo’s 30-year career

Many artists will pass through Poupet this year, including Matt Pokora, Toto, Simple Minds, Saez and Nada Surf. We will also have to count on the return of big French names like Pascal Obispo who will celebrate his 30 years of career on the Poupet stage. Calogero, Hoshi and Grand Corps Malade will also be there.

The contemporary French scene will also be in the spotlight on the evening of July 11, with the young Nantaise Zaho de Sagazan, Adèle Castillon and Clara Ysé, nominated for the Victoires de la Musique 2024, as well as Mentissa, Kimberose and others. Finally, we will find emblematic artists like La Ruda during a highly anticipated festive evening on July 5. Dionysus and Matmatah will also perform.

The electro reggae evening scheduled for July 12 will notably welcome Marseillais Massilia Sound System, with Tiken Jah Fakoly, Caravan Palace and Chinese Man. The festival also has a family day with Nantais Aldebert, Sunday June 30, followed by two evenings bringing together up to 30,000 people at the Clairière du Bois-Chabot, including a rap evening on July 17.

The closing evening, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Poupet Déraille, will bring together on the same stage the Compagnie Créole, the L5, Chantal Goya, the Nantes duo Tragédie, Fatal Bazooka, Alizée, the group O-Zone, Boney M, William Baldé or Elmer Foot Beat again.

Like every year, the XXL event will be an opportunity to break records. Two are on the program: that of the greatest “Cheu-Cheu synchro” as well as that of the greatest brioche dance, unmissable in Vendée, in the company of Théo Lalavabo.
