The Heart Hooks in fantasy mode: Angers.fr

“Les Accroche-coeurs rhyme with celebration, magic and emotionunderlines Nicolas Dufetel, Deputy for Culture and Heritage. For three days, September 13, 14 and 15, the people of Angevin are invited to vibrate to the rhythm of this unmissable and unifying back-to-school event, around the Maine and its two banks.” With a promise, that of taking the public into the land of the imagination. This year again, the festival is no exception to this golden rule since the proposed common thread is summed up in one adjective: “fantastic”. An inexhaustible playground for programmer Marie Driaux (Kreatio agency). Circus, street theater, dance, installations, music (brass bands, balls, DJs)… are on display, i.e., in total, more than 120 performances, 46 shows and 43 companies, half of which come from the Grand- West.

Giant parade on Friday evening

To remember, from Friday evening: a giant stellar parade proposed by the Planète Vapeur company around Pegasus, a 9 m high silver-winged horse, and characters from his legend. After an inaugural gesture from the mayor (8 p.m.), the stroll will set off from Place du Ralliement to reach Place La Rochefoucauld. For this occasion as for all three days, the public is invited to dress in blue and sequins, this year’s dress code.

Another unmissable event: the big zero-waste picnic on Sunday lunchtime, Quai Monge, where Angevins can bring their meal or simply their containers to present to the food trucks present on site.

Public complice

Like every year, the City offers residents the opportunity to be accomplices of the festival and artists in certain shows. The places are generally taken by storm (online registrations on the Accroche-coeurs page) but the organizers are always looking for volunteers, particularly for welcoming the public (a call will be launched very soon on this site) . “The participation of Angevins is one of the hallmarks of Accroche-cœursconcludes Nicolas Dufetel. I am thinking in particular of the village of flavors on Place La Rochefoucauld which mobilizes local associations for the benefit of cultural or solidarity projects. We are also very committed to making Accroche-cœurs an eco-responsible and inclusive moment, accessible to as many people as possible.”

Les Accroche-coeurs, from September 13 to 15. Free shows.

Full program coming at the end of August on the Accroche-coeurs page
