Until December 1, Parisians and other curious people can participate in a major survey, aimed at giving a name to the paths of one of the most famous gardens of the 17th century.
From November 1 to December 1, 2024it's up to you to play, or rather, to vote. In fact, the town hall of the 17th arrondissement is asking the general public to decide – by voting – what names will soon be given to the paths of Martin Luther King Park.
Very often nicknamed “Batignolles park” Due to the district in which it is located, Martin Luther King Park is one of the largest green lungs of the 17th century. The park was created on old railway lines and allows biodiversity to develop within it, while offering beautiful walks in the heart of Paris. So, if you also cherish this large Parisian park, go and vote online on the 17th town hall website or in person, to participate in the current survey.
In total, 6 paths in the park will be renamed and there is no shortage of proposals. Classified by theme, the proposed personalities bring together artists, people involved in politics, personalities linked to the 17th arrondissement, pioneers and women of science, common names…

So, go to one of the ten voting points located around Martin-Luther King Park or at the 17th century town hall, where a ballot box is present until December 1st. It is also possible to vote online, by filling out a form. The announcement of the results will be made on Thursday December 19 (at 7:30 p.m.) at the HOBA foodcourt.
