A 50-year-old man was seriously injured after several dog bites in the town of La Force, in Bergeracois in Dordogne. The accident occurred around 6 p.m., Friday November 15. It wasn't his pet. Two dogs attacked the jogger. He was bitten on the legs, arms and face. He was transported to Bergerac hospital in serious condition.
An American Bully, a breed not categorized as dangerous
The victim was returning from a run and was only a few hundred meters from his home when two of the three dogs bit him. In total, there were three dogs roaming this quiet street in a residential neighborhood. One of the neighbors had just reported it to the town hall, a few minutes before the attack. When one of the deputies arrived on scene, he could only see the consequences. This Saturday morning, everyone is still in shock.
The gendarmes traveled Friday evening to try to collect the first clues, in order to find the owner of these animals. These dogs are not not categorized, that is to say they are not considered dangerous. They were up to date with their vaccinations.
