From promising young player to Ligue 1 at AS Monaco in 2015, with undesirable status PSG in 2024, Layvin Kurzawa is preparing to draw a definitive line on an adventure marked by several difficult periods in the capital club. On his unsuccessful discussions with FC Nantes last winter

« On the last day of the transfer window, Moussa Sissoko (FCN player), who is a friend, called me to tell me that the club would like to get in touch with me. I said, “No problem, let them call me.” I explain to them that I would go there with great pleasure for six months. In Nantes, they were super surprised. I only wanted one thing, to play football again. I called Luis Campos to ask him if it was possible to go to Nantes. He told me: “Of course, I’m happy for you” and that there would be no problem resolving the salary issue. I put the two clubs in touch, I had prepared my suitcase, but I didn’t hear from them until 10 p.m. And Nantes tells me that they ultimately preferred to buy a player, although that was not the case (Nicolas Cozza was loaned without an option to buy by Wolfsburg). I didn’t appreciate it. To think that they contacted me again recently… »
