On June 29, the Saint-Jean fire festivities will take place at Passage-d’Agen, a tradition perpetuated by the association of the inhabitants of Monbusq chaired by Jean-Michel Pincin.
Nine days late for the summer solstice which marks the longest day of the year and which we are supposed to celebrate and only five days for Midsummer, the celebration will not be any less beautiful. !
Music from aperitif until night
It is a country meal which will be served at 8:30 p.m., but guests will be welcomed from 6 p.m., chemins des maraîchers in Monbusq. The musical entertainment for the first part of the evening (with aperitif) will be provided by the Tempo Taldea group, composed of a guitarist, a drummer, a bassist and 3 singers (including Zaz, resident of Passage) accompanied by a piano and a accordion. This group boasts the bandas spirit, music which is almost a guarantee of a successful atmosphere for this type of event. Benjamin and Jean-Michel Pincin will then take over with French songs from the 60s to 80s, from waltz to pop and rock.
Eat by the fire
After the fireworks which will be set off around 11 p.m., the real fire, that of Midsummer’s Day, will be lit immediately, upon the digestion of a meal consisting of a starter, a giant paella, cheese, dessert and wine included for €18. This menu will be prepared by the Monbusq residents’ association.
