Kidnapped and assaulted, he was left in his underwear in Tresses, in front of his car which his attackers had just set on fire. On June 10, 2024, a 42-year-old man from Lormont was returning home at night when he was attacked in his underground parking lot by two hooded individuals. Overpowered and pinned to the ground, beaten with a hammer, he was tied with his hands behind his back with duct tape, grabbed and lifted like a sports bag then thrown into the trunk of his own car.
Thus kidnapped and sequestered, he was taken to Tresses where one of the kidnappers had the mission of monitoring him until the others returned. Left alone, undressed, in disbelief and frightened in a deserted place, he managed to flag down a motorist and call for help. He will escape with ten days of total incapacity for work.
Careful investigation
What were the attackers looking for? Did they target the wrong target? Were they misinformed? They went to the Lormontais man in the middle of the night, pretending to his wife that he was having problems with the police. There, they carried out a thorough search and seized some valuable objects, clothing or accessories before returning to Tresses to “free” their hostage.
Using the video surveillance images of the residence, as well as the telephone and DNA samples left on a washing machine and on a tear gas bomb which rolled in the parking lot, the investigators of the Group in charge of the fight against thefts committed with violence (GLVV) managed to trace two brothers aged 22 and 31.
They were arrested this week in Lormont at their mother's house with the support of the Raid and placed in police custody. A 7.65 caliber pistol, 120 grams of cocaine, 206 grams of cannabis resin, more than 5,000 euros and objects belonging to the victim were seized.
Despite their denials, they were referred this Friday, November 15 to the prosecution. They were placed in pre-trial detention while awaiting their trial for kidnapping, forcible confinement, theft with violence, destruction of the property of others, scheduled for a deferred appearance.
