The prefect of Aveyron takes stock before his departure

After 2 years in the department, Charles Giusti, now ex-prefect of Aveyron, especially wants to remember the positive:

First of all, it’s a very beautiful department, a little paradise as I like to say.

We are in both a peaceful society and a society that wants it, because the people of Aveyron are characterized by their desire to move forward, to find solutions, and that collectively.

And so we were able to move forward on many subjects, such as renewable energies, but also the work that could be done between the world of education and the economic world to bring together the two expectations, the two points of view. We have worked a lot on supporting businesses, supporting projects, particularly communities.

I think it was both dense, rich and then from a personal point of view, extremely pleasant.

A week without a prefect in Aveyron

Charles Giusti takes office in Eure this Monday, November 18. Her successor, Claire Chauffour-Rouillard, will take over in Aveyron on Monday November 25. A week of transition will therefore pass, and it promises to be lively, to the rhythm of agricultural demonstrations, which threaten to intensify. Before his departure, Charles Giusti was calm:

The presence of the State will be just as strong, with the Secretary General of the prefecture acting in the interim.

I had the opportunity to meet with agricultural union organizations recently to review the situation. The protests will be expressed. I have confidence that they will express themselves in a reasonable manner. It is important that this expression of dissatisfaction does not result in movements that would hinder the activity and life of Aveyron residents. Once again, I have confidence after my contacts with the union organizations that things will go well.
