The third (and final) year of the 13e promotion of the National School of Puppet Arts (ESNAM) will soon close with the presentations of three end-of-study projects.
The students, made up of three teams, present three shows from Monday 24 to Wednesday 26 June 2024 at the Théâtre de l’École and the Forum, located at 16 and 18 avenue Jean Jaurès in Charleville-Mézières. These shows will be repeated during Temps d’M (inter event World Puppet Theater Festival) in September.
Two shows at the Théâtre de l’École, one at the Forum
The first show is called Manitobaand will evoke two young women who flee into a large primary forest in Canada with a simple survival manual and a few weapons. Carried puppets and masks will be used. Monday June 24 at 5 p.m. – Tuesday June 25 at 8 p.m. – Wednesday June 26 at 2 p.m., at the ESNAM theater.
The second show which will be performed using carried and hybrid puppets is called Marginaliaet « is inspired by illuminations from the 13th and 14th centuries in Europe to invite us to pass into a world on the margins populated by forgotten, hybrid and strange creatures. Monday June 24 at 8 p.m. – Tuesday June 25 at 2 p.m. – Wednesday June 26 at 5 p.m., at the ESNAM theater.
Finally, the last show will be performed at the Forum and is called Cas de Figure. Through muppets and puppet bodies, the show will attempt to answer the following question: “ How do the different stories that our society produces around the figure of the artist impact us? “. Monday June 24 at 2 p.m. – Tuesday June 25 at 5 p.m. – Wednesday June 26 at 8 p.m. From 12 years old.
