Two counts of first-degree murder and two others of attempted murder were brought against Torontonians, following a shooting that left two people dead and two injured on Friday in Vaughan, a suburb of Toronto.
The police discovered four victims in a residence on Casa Nova Drive, shortly before 9 a.m. One of them was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other three were taken to hospital. A second victim died from his injuries.
On Saturday, York police released the identities of the two people who lost their lives.
They are Thi Trang Do, a 40-year-old mother, and Marcus Vu, her 2-year-old baby.
The two injured people are in stable condition.
Police believe the shooter and victims knew each other and that this was a targeted attack.
