In November, the National Union of Families and Friends of Mentally Sick or Disabled People (Unafam) is organizing a series of coffee meetings in the Meuse. These events aim to provide a space for exchange and support for relatives of people living with psychological disorders.

Objective ? Break taboos

Unafam, which has been campaigning for years to raise awareness of these pathologies, recalls that three million French people are affected by severe psychological disorderswhile five million others suffer the burden of being caregivers.

Mental disorders, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, depression or anxiety disorders, often remain a taboo subject in society. However, behind these words lie human realities that are often ignored or misunderstood. It is for lift this veil of silence and encourage dialogue that Unafam organizes these friendly meetings open to all.

Dates of meetings

The meeting places will be in three municipalities in the department: Étain, Clermont-en-Argonne and Bar-le-Duc.
