“The death of the family peasants”. Here is what was written on the fake coffin, made of plastic and tape, and brandished in front of the Haute-Vienne prefecture this Thursday, according to information from the Popular of the Center.
This action was organized by representatives of Modef, the Movement for the Defense of Family Farmers, during the afternoon, in Limoges, in the Haute-Vienne department.

Present at the scene of the mobilization, the department's Modef predicted detailed the motivations for this gathering, to our colleagues from Popular of the Center : “We are here to present our demands again, since since last winter, we have been led by boat. » He adds: “Nothing has really materialized apart from a small detail on non-road diesel, but that is anecdotal”.
For him, we must put “the income of the peasants” on the table, which he considers too low. The latter calls for “guaranteed floor prices” for better remuneration for farmers. Three people were finally received in the prefecture at the end of the afternoon. For the president of Modef de la Haute-Vienne, their “proposals” were listened to, without having had a response to their requests.
