Teachers at Claude-Garamont high school in Colombes went on strike this Thursday to denounce the facts.

An investigation was opened by the Nanterre public prosecutor's office to “intentional violence resulting in a total interruption of work of less than eight days and in a school establishment”.
The events took place around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, in the middle of class, when the 63-year-old teacher had just asked her students to move the tables in the room before the start of an assessment. The student then got up to leave the class, before being prevented by the teacher who intervened. The high school student then allegedly slapped the sixty-year-old, before grabbing her by the neck to strangle her.
A strike to denounce the attack
Screams coming from the classroom alerted an adult, and the police were called. On site, the police arrested the student, before taking her to the police station to place her in police custody. The teacher, who would be accompanying students with disabilities according to France 3, was not hospitalized and filed a complaint. In solidarity, high school teachers went on strike this Thursday to denounce this attack.
