Yubari: chic Japanese restaurant in Old Montreal

Located in the St-Paul Hotel on McGill Street, Yubari is a magnificent restaurant offering Japanese cuisine with a French touch.

Chic and elegant decor

As soon as you arrive, you will be seduced by the magnificent decor combining modernity and Japanese tradition. The high ceilings highlight imposing structures along the walls, while leopard velvet banquettes and soft umbrella-shaped lights add a touch of elegance. Wood, omnipresent, creates a warm atmosphere. A long 10-seat bar offers a view of an impressive selection spirits or on the sushi bar. Furthermore, it is possible to sit comfortably among the 100 seats available in the room, whether for a romantic evening or a dinner with colleagues or friends!

A refined cuisine

In the kitchen, chef Willy Do has created a menu celebrating freshness and quality. Mainly Japanese, its cuisine incorporates influences from France and other Asian countries. Of Vietnamese origin, the chef has been able to combine the importance of choosing your ingredients carefully, as advocated by the Japanese mentality, with the use of complementary flavors that the Vietnamese know how to execute so well. The tasty menu offers a wide range of options: dumplings, sashimi, makis, nigiris, atatakis And much more. Sushi prices range from $13 to $105 for a few pieces, putting Yubari in a pretty high price range. However, this pricing is justified by the exceptional quality of the ingredients used.

To drink, you will find a very nice menu of signature cocktails with Asian influences and bursting flavors. The wine list, for its part, is rich in great wines offering the possibility of a good toast on special occasions.

We’re telling you about it because it’s a great addition to the neighborhood and the service is impeccable. It’s a great place to visit if you want to treat yourself and celebrate. With a DJ on site from Thursday to Saturday, it’s the perfect place for a festive evening with friends. In addition, the restaurant is open for lunch, offering an excellent option for your business dinners.

Good tasting!
