This is good news, relayed by the municipality of Sainte-Pazanne (-Atlantique) : the general practitioner, Thomas Plessis, sets up alongside Doctor Alexandre Guillot at the My Cott center, place du 18-June.

Shortage of doctors

As in many other municipalities and territories, the medical sector remains in tension in the Pays de Retz. In the CPTS sector Country of Retz (Territorial Professional Health Community) which brings together 60,000 inhabitants, there is a shortage of doctors to meet the needs of the population.

First patients from November 18, 2024

Dr Thomas Plessis announces: “I appreciate the chance to settle in Sainte-Pazanne in very good conditions. My colleague, Alexandre Guillot, gave me the opportunity to work first as a replacement doctor on Wednesdays, so that I could get to know the patients and confirm my decision. In this collaborative spirit, he supports me in my installation process. »

It is therefore with complete peace of mind that I will welcome my patients on Monday, November 18. »

I would like to prioritize Pazenais and people without a GP; it is essential to ensure the permanence of care. »

“We share the same medical approach with Doctor Guillot. Our organization must not be to the detriment of relational quality. The objective is that a patient followed at the office can obtain an appointment within the week. It is essential to establish a close and trusting relationship with the patient; the consultation includes a time of pleasant exchanges in complete reciprocity,” adds Dr. Plessis.

Respond to strong demand from residents

Aurélie Guitteny, mayor of Sainte-Pazanne, analyzes: “The Pays de Retz, like many other sectors, suffers from a lack of health professionals. The arrival of a new doctor in Sainte-Pazanne responds to strong expectations from residents. The municipality plays a driving and mediating role in this area by, for example, promoting links between professionals and local structures. In October, a meeting was organized with the CPTS of Pays de Retz (Territorial Professional Health Community) and professionals from the municipality. This connection drives a dynamic aimed at improving the patient journey. »

Consultation from Monday November 18, office at 16, avenue du Général de Gaulle. Make an appointment on Doctolib, Monday to Friday (closed on Thursday). Home visits on Wednesday morning. Medical home on call in Bouaye from Monday to Friday, from 8 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight, Sunday and public holidays from 8 a.m. to midnight.
