This future crematorium costs an amount of 2.08 million euros, and it is logical that the City of Saint-Junien turned to a public service delegation, in the form of a concession, to carry out this project. .
The municipal council adopted last week the choice of the company OGF/Elysio Invest as delegatee.
“Strong demand from the population”
This group will therefore ensure the financing, design, construction costs, upkeep, maintenance and operation of this crematorium which will be built in the artisanal zone of Boisse, at the entrance to the city.
Located a stone's throw from the RN141, the choice of the artisanal area of Boisse seemed suitable for a place of contemplation.
Construction work will begin next year on a plot of 4,000 m².
The opening of this 650 m² crematorium is scheduled for late 2026-early 2027.
The building permit has already been filed.
Between 350 and 400 cremations per year
This future Saint-Junien crematorium will be able to provide, at a minimum, between 350 and 400 cremations per year.
The OGF/Elysio Invest group currently manages 87 crematoriums in France and has just been chosen as a public service delegate to operate the Pauillac (33) and Gap (05) crematoriums.
That of Saint-Junien will include a 140 m² ceremony room, a conviviality room, a green space, with a place reserved for the garden of remembrance to scatter the ashes of the deceased.
A 58-space car park will be provided at the entrance to the site.
The Saint-Junien crematorium will be open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
