After the evening in Pradines in 2023 by theCrossroads of Sciences and Arts associationhaving brought together nearly 300 people, the“pop culture and science” adventure is renewed: this time at Gramat ! This new edition, free and open to everyone aged 10 and over, will take place on Saturday November 16 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Cinéma l'Atelier. Notice to all fans of the films Jurassic Park !

Everything you need to know about dinosaurs in Gramat

The expert of the evening, responsible for scrutinizing the films, will be Quentin Vautrin: he is a paleontologist and curator of the Lot Regional Nature Reserve of Geological Interest (and big fan of the world of Jurassic Park!).

During this evening, participants will be able to discover the world of dinosaurs and paleontology: what is the job of paleontologist these days? How do you find dig sites with fossils? Which dinosaurs from Jurassic Park and Jurassic World really existed? Which dinosaurs depicted in these films are 100% fictional? Who is really the king of the dinosaurs? How do we know what we know about dinosaurs?

But also delve behind the scenes of the films: what techniques were used to reproduce the dinosaurs in the films? how can you imagine the roar of a t-rex?…

This event will be enhanced withextracts from films ranging from Jurassic Park to Jurassic World, discussions and decryptions of cult scenes, without forgetting the famous quizzes and prizes to be won!
