Wanted by the authorities after several attacks with concrete blocks and the death of a homeless person in Lyon (Rhône), a man was arrested at Toulon station (Var), Tuesday November 12. The woman he attacked recounts her encounter with the alleged killer.
Some call him the cinder block attacker. On video surveillance images from a museum in Rotterdam (Netherlands), we see the man, cinder block in hand, violently attacking a sleeping homeless man. He is suspected of having committed murder and multiple assaults. The suspect was arrested on the evening of Tuesday, November 12 in Toulon, in the Var, thanks to a victim who had just been attacked on a train and raised the alarm.
“This person was walking in the opposite direction and pushed me hard as they passed”says the latter, interviewed on Wednesday November 13 by France Télévisions. The passenger remembers asking “apologies”, “kindly” to the unknown, who “No [lui] did not respond”. “When I turned around to sit down, he kicked me hard on the back.”she continues. His attacker will be arrested when he gets off the train. He is suspected of having used the same procedure as in Rotterdam to kill a homeless person in the street, in Lyon (Rhône), Sunday November 10.
