Imagine that you have the power to fly, to cross walls, to teleport… In one breath, you are in , flying over the Promenade des Anglais, fifteen meters above the sea. 360° view of the city, the horizon… and the facade of a luxury hotel. A snap of your fingers and you are in the entrance hall. Then you cross the four floors at lightning speed to find yourself in the most beautiful room, with a view of the sea, which you visit in every detail.

While waiting for humans to be endowed with superpowers, VR Hexagone offers this experience to experience virtually, through the screen of their computer. The young company, created in 2021 near in Dordogne, specializes in three-dimensional imaging. Using a Scan 3D camera, it creates virtual tours, a bit like what we already know on the famous Google Street View, but for the interior of buildings.

In the hotel industry

“Our main activity is high-end and enriched virtual tours,” explains the founder and director of VR Hexagone, Quentin Gérardin, 37 years old. Our main clients are lodges and hotels as well as some showrooms (editor's note). »

“We can create a basic tour, but also add options such as a drone view or buttons to facilitate navigation.” Or even add clickable links to other sites, for example during a virtual visit to a trade show to direct you to service providers' sites or product sheets.

In the building

“I also use 3D Scanning to help architects,” continues Quentin Gérardin. I scan the building and make a digital twin. I can even offer them plans that have already been made. This way, they have to travel less, for example to take measurements. They can devote themselves to the design and management of the site. »

For the past year, VR Hexagone has also launched into the resale of equipment and offers training courses for their use. The company is also planning online training (e-learning) in 2025, as well as specialized software to enrich this 3D.

Asked whether he is not afraid of shooting himself in the foot by training his future competitors himself, the young business leader displays his serenity. According to him, there is work for everyone in this developing sector. “Today, I don't even have enough competitors and it would be quite enriching to have some,” he says.
