Swore. Two injured in serious condition after collision on the straight in Ounans

It was around 3:45 p.m. this Wednesday, November 13, when emergency services were alerted that a violent road accident had just occurred on the RD 472 between Ounans and Chamblay. The impact took place on the territory of the commune of Ounans.

Three injured

The accident then involved a Renault Modus with a couple on board, which according to initial information collected on site, was traveling in the direction of Ounans-Chamblay. The other vehicle involved, a Volvo, driven by a single woman, was probably traveling in the other direction, Chamblay-Ounans.

The impact was high kinetics given the state of the cars on site. And it caused the injuries of all three people involved. The occupant of the Volvo and one of the occupants of the Modus, “in serious condition”, according to the firefighters, were sent to the Besançon University Hospital. The second occupant of the Modus was sent to hospital.

13 firefighters mobilized

This accident monopolized the intervention of 13 firefighters from the rescue centers of Salins-les-Bains, Arbois, Lorette and Dole, as well as six of their vehicles. Without forgetting the presence on site of eight gendarmes from the Salins and Poligny brigades. A crew from Dole’s SMUR provided first aid to the victims.

For its part, a team from the department's services intervened to clean the road. A gendarmerie investigation will have to determine the exact circumstances of this accident. Note that the accident did not cause a major slowdown in traffic, given that the two vehicles, under the effect of the impact, found themselves on a farm road below the RD 472.
