The TCL network in Lyon will change visual identity.
This Wednesday, November 13, 2024, a press conference from Sytral Mobilités, the public establishment in charge of the organization and operation of urban public transport in the Lyon metropolitan area, is planned for the afternoon.
Between the price increases, a possible pricing by zonesand new logo TCL will be announced. A choice that Internet users share.
A minimalist teaser
The outlines of this new TCL logo were first revealed by the president of Sytral Mobilités, the ecologist Bruno Bernard.
We thus discover white dotted lines on a black background, which form three letters: TC L. By analyzing this logo, we can also see an arrow formed between the C and the L. An idea which seems to have been taken from the logo of the American company FedEx.
A new color?
To increase the pressure a little more on this announcement, scheduled around 3 p.m. this Wednesday, November 13, TCL's X account (ex-Twitter) also published a photo of part of the new logo.
Leaks
Still on social networks, some Internet users have also photographed new articulated buses on which the new logo, white on a black background, is clearly visible on the front of the vehicle. This bus was photographed in the La Soie depot in Vaulx-en-Velin where the press conference will take place this Wednesday.
Internet users cry scandal
Faced with this transformed visual identity, people from Lyon have expressed their dissatisfaction for several hours.
Finally, it remains to be seen how this new logo will be used and whether it will be necessary change all signs of the network. An operation that would cost very expensive to users.
