A good part of the used items placed at the recycling center end up being incinerated or dismantled, while items in good condition could enjoy a second life. This is why the City of Morges has reopened a space for exchanging used items at the recycling center, located at avenue Riond-Bosson 9.

Objects likely to be recovered must be given to one of the supervisors, who will then place them in the dedicated exchange area.

The following objects are not not accepted in this exchange zone:

  • objects in poor condition, as well as large pieces of furniture that have been dismantled;
  • used clothes, which must be put in the boxes provided for this purpose;
  • electronic and electrical devices, for safety and legal reasons;
  • special household waste, such as chemicals or medicines;
  • the tires.

The recovery of used objects via this exchange space is reserved exclusively for the beneficiaries of the recycling center and must be for private use. Trading in these items is strictly prohibited. Checks for compliance with these provisions, carried out by Police Région Morges, as well as by the supervisors of the recycling center, have been reinforced. They may be adapted according to the evolution of the situation.
