Equestria: an equestrian event in Tarbes

From July 16 to 21, the Haras de Tarbes hosts the 28th edition of the Equestria Festival, a celebration of the magic of horses and the arts. This internationally recognized festival promises to be an important event for all lovers of the equestrian world.

Lhe Haras de Tarbes, created under Napoleon, offers a propitious setting for Equestria, a family festival. From 4 p.m. on weekdays and from 12 p.m. on weekends, visitors can enjoy numerous free activities: equestrian shows, artistic strolls, guided tours, exhibitions and activities for children. The festival invites you to discover the world of horses, without the need to be a rider. Four major equestrian shows

Among the highlights, four paid equestrian shows are staged by companies with varied backgrounds. Caballicare Theater’s “Aldaê, Land of Lost Legends” is a fantastical equestrian tale that transports audiences to an enchanted realm, with performances combining horses, puppets, music and visual arts. Collective Azul Bangor’s “Pooka” combines theater, aerobatics, music and puppets, promising a fascinating journey into a mystical world. “Du Same Pas” by Marie Barcelo and Pierre-Antoine Chastang is a fusion of equestrian and circus art, exploring themes like love and friendship, with spectacular aerial and equestrian performances. Finally, “Anahata, the Prophecy of the 7 Fires” from Théâtre Caballicare, inspired by a Native American legend, offers a poetic exploration of human duality through captivating performances.

A festive and gourmet village

The festival village is a place of life and sharing, with a creators’ market, interactive demonstrations, various initiations (archery, acrobatics) and a gourmet space. Children can have fun in the dedicated village, while families enjoy friendly moments around the entertainment area.

A historical and natural setting

The Haras de Tarbes, with its eight hectares of greenery and its Napoleonic stables, offers an ideal setting where time seems to stand still. This historic place, cradle of the Anglo-Arab race, adds a heritage and cultural dimension to the event.
