Founded in 2023 to meet the training needs of Breton private establishments, the association Care professions in Brittany count two training centers. One, located in Loudéac (22), opened last January and the second, located on the first floor of the Baud health center in Morbihan, will begin its first training on February 17, 2025.
Meet a real need
“The authorizations to open health and social training are given by the Region, which operates on a five-year plan. The particularity that we have in Brittany is that the mesh is very fine. We want to respond as closely as possible to the needs of the population but also to learners who do not necessarily have significant means of mobility. The project on Loudéac and Baud perfectly meets the needs of the territory, it has been validated” explains Elisabeth Jouneaux-Pedrono, regional advisor responsible for health and social training.
In initial training…
“The new premises, adapted, pleasant, on a human scale and with common spaces shared with the professionals of the Baldivian structure will create a real dynamic » underlines Antoine Geffroy, director of the IFAS of Baud and Loudéac. On February 17, 2025, nineteen learnerswill engage in a one-year training course, made up of five skill blocks and ten modules.
“The initial training that we offer takes place on a work-study basis, with 770 hours of classes and 770 hours of internships. »
Ces stages four in number, are to be carried out in different structures such as hospital, EPHAD, or in disability and mental health. This allows learners to discover the entire healthcare offering and choose where they want to work next.
…or in apprenticeship
A course in learning, in partnership with ARFASS, the training center for apprentices in social and health professions in Brittany, is also possible. The learners will have a specific schedule and two of their internships will be carried out with their employers, who will pay them.
The particularity of this training lies in the innovative educational tools that it uses, such as virtual reality, video simulations and a care simulator.
The training is entirely funded by the region and remunerationmay possibly be granted to nursing assistant students who have exercised professional activity, thanks to various state schemes.
