Two new wastewater treatment plants for the Luberon Monts de Vaucluse agglomeration

One of the two news sewage treatment plants will serve the municipalities of Gordes, Cabrières and, ultimately, Beaumettes. The other station will concern and Les Taillades. These structures, work on which began in September 2023, are currently in testing phase and will be delivered toLuberon Monts de agglomeration at the end of 2024. Suez will then operate it.
The concept of this equipment follows a logic of pooling to rationalize costs and land consumption.

Taillades wastewater treatment plant

That of Taillades carried out by the companies Hydrea, Poggia and Neotravaux is located next to the existing station, near Coulon. The old equipment from the 70s will be destroyed. The site will benefit from storm basins. The new “activated sludge” plant uses a process ofbiological purification in wastewater treatment. Its sizing provides for the treatment of effluent from 6,000 to 8,000 population equivalents and 1 200 m3/day for certain districts of Cavaillon, those of the Route des Taillades, the Route de Robion and the future Eastern districts (behind Auchan).

Cost of the work: €3.6 million excluding tax, supported to the tune of €2 million by the State, the Paca Region and the Department of Vaucluse. The IRH and Tramoy firms carried out the preliminary studies.

Wastewater treatment plant Gordes

The second project, with a capacity of 3,600 inhabitants equivalent and 1,000 m3/day, allows the collection of wastewater from the communes of Cabrières d' and Gordes, in particular from the hamlet of Imberts, with an extension planned later to Les Beaumettes. Located on Route des Cerisiers in Plan des Amandiers, theactivated sludge equipment includes, in addition to the station, the construction of a transfer network between the current Cabrières wastewater treatment plant and the future intercommunal wastewater treatment plant, as well as a storm basin. Old equipment will be destroyed.

Estimated cost: €4.38 million excluding tax, supported to the tune of €2 million by the State, the Paca Region and the Department of Vaucluse. B3E carried out the preliminary studies. Sogea, Mereu BTP, Hydraustab, Neotravaux, Bries and JP Industrie carried out the construction.
