Born on September 10, 1935, his family came to settle in the town just after the Second World War. This is how he rubbed shoulders at school with well-known Miolands, such as Sibuet, Denoyel, Perrin… and so many others.

From his union on September 12, 1956 with Paulette (who died in December 2014), three children were born: Gilles, Patrick and Daniel. In 1974, he created the public works company Soterly, a company which he managed for many years. His sudden departure surprised and left his loved ones and friends in deep sadness.

His friends at Fnaca admired his presence

His military past, his feats of arms, his 26 months in the service of were recognized. But Georges Fraisse, his friend from Fnaca, spoke of the man he knew for 25 years: honest, loyal, respectful of others, full of kindness. “During the various commemorations, in Mions or elsewhere, what I admired about him as president of Fnaca was his presence. » Henri Lopez had agreed to stay as president of Fnaca until the last day, despite his health problems. “You have shown courage throughout your life, while maintaining your joy of living and your good humor,” Georges Fraisse told him, wishing him, on behalf of all his friends, to “rest in peace. »

The mayor, Mickaël Paccaud, paid tribute to him during the November 11 ceremony: “Henri Lopez devoted thirty-seven years of his life to preserving the duty of memory. His unwavering commitment has been an inspiration to us all and reminds us of the importance of never forgetting the sacrifices made for our freedom. »
